Thrummed Mitten Class

Learn to knit the warmest mittens you will have ever owned with Carrie Cavanaugh of Bluesy Daisy Knits. Thrummed mittens are mittens with pieces of wool roving knit into them. The thrums provide a very thick layer of warmth, perfect for the cold winter months ahead. You will have artistic freedom to play with color as you make these mittens so it is sure to be a fun class!

This is an advanced class for those who are familiar with knitting in the round and have increase and decrease stitches down. You will be knitting cables with twisted stitches and working thrums of roving into the fabric.

The pattern and instruction are included in the class fee. Roving and yarn are available for purchase at Atelier at 1109.

Please bring your knitting needles, tapestry needle, stitch markers, cable needle, scrap yarn, and scissors with you.
